It's 4:15 am on Monday, September 15, 2008. I am awake, so thought I would blog. I had 4 days off in a row over the weekend and ended up sick! Ugh!! What a great time to be sick, when I was hoping to get some stuff done around here. I am up because every time I lay down, I start to cough and don't want Ralph to be disturbed. I've had seepy eyes that were matted shut when I woke up yesterday, sorethroat, headache, stuffed nose, cough, you name it and I had it. I lost my voice also. Ralph enjoyed that, I think. Anyhow................I'm on the mend now hopefully. I was supposed to work tonight, but took the night off to recuperate. Now that I've bored you all with my woes, I'll move on to something else.
Mom and Dad were here on Thursday. Mom, Boof(Melanie), and I went shopping, that was fun. Just wish Chris could've been here to go too. I don't remember if I mentioned that we painted our kitchen cabinets a chocolate brown color. It's a drastic change but it's growing on me. It took me several days to decide if I like it or not. I removed all wall stuff to try and figure out how to make it all work. Any how while Mom was here, Boof and her helped me find material for new curtain panels and now I'm very excited about my new plan. I have picked out a new wall color, too. I will try to post pictures when it's done. Can't wait!!! I always get gung-ho in the fall with redecorating my house. Ralph is Thrilled!!! Ha!!!
Ralph is down to his last 8 or 9 weeks of unemployment and we're starting to get nervous. Could you remember us in your prayers about a new job for him. I don't understand why he was offered 6 jobs in North Carolina and none here. Obviously, we couldn't move without selling our house and that didn't seem to be happening. I just don't know.
The boys are already finished with 3 weeks of school. Wow!!! I can't believe I have a high-schooler and a junior high-schooler. What happened to my babies? So far, they are really enjoying their new school building.
